Bondo problems

This will realy sound stupid to you guys, but bear with me.. this is the first time that I am doing this. My car is really rusted and got holes on the body. I already sand it and put rust converter on it. I also bought some fiberglass mat to cover the hole, but the hole is too deep. Do you guys think that I can just ignore it and cover it up with bondo? and what it primer and what does it does and how to use it? pleaz help me.

You may want to have a professional look at it. If anything they can suggest how to go about fixing it. I have seen some bad bondo jobs in my time....and many people do it themselves....and then end up going to the body shop after they realize how bad it looks.....or the rust comes back quick.

I asked some shop about it and they gonna charge me $1500 for it. I just don't have the money for it. The rust is getting really bad..
